Microsoft Lumia 640 XL LTE Mobile Price List in India

Windows 10 based smartphones are on the scene now and is expected to saturate different markets. Microsoft Lumia 640 LTE is one another such invention even though it is a mid-range smartphone but acquires good specifications which is all set to give good competition to all its competitors. The price for the device is also affordable making it an ideal handset for everyday use. Though the features may not be very interesting but they are not bad at all. Lumia series is very much appreciated especially for the camera department but it has yet to be observed how the camera works in this handset.

Features and Specifications

The weight of the handset is 145g supporting Micro-SIM. The screen is large 5inch developed from IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen technology carrying 16M colors and also offers multi-touch. The protection to the screen has been provided by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The OS in this case is Microsoft Windows Phone 8.1 having Lumia Denim and the processor running on it is 1.2GHz Quad-core. The normal mid-range RAM of 1GB has been provided to it while the internal storage is 8GB which is very much expandable up to 128GB with the support of microSD card. Two cameras also come in this handset, the rear one is 8MP with an LED light and quite handsome features like autofocus. The camera is also capable of recording video while the front camera is 1MP for the video calls and the selfies. The battery life in this smartphone is 2500mAh Li-ion while good connectivity features are also available in it like NFC, microUSB, GPS, Bluetooth, A-GPS, WI-Fi, GSM/LTE.

Design and Quality

The build quality of this handset is quite nice giving real Lumia feel. The body of the smartphone is polycarbonate which is very much clean and solid and gives right grip. The device is available in attractive colors like white, black, blue and orange. The front of the phone is all glass. The top of the screen has the front camera, sensor and spear while the bottom has the three navigation touchscreen keys. The back of the handset has the back camera with LED light and the Microsoft logo in center. The top of the phone has the 3.5mm headset jack while the right hand side carries the volume rocker and the power button. The overall build quality of the handset is quite impressive.

OS and Tech

The latest Microsoft OS has been provided to it which has not been considered as the insignia of all Microsoft handsets especially the Lumia devices. The OS is quite fast enough making the multitasking very much fast thus the performance of the device is also very nice. There have not been any performance lags observed by now.

Camera and Multimedia

Cameras in Lumia line has always been quite decent. The camera here is also good enough but not good than what has been provided in Lumia 640 XL. This camera takes some decent shots and presentable quality images are produced but they still feel little grainy. The videos recorded by it are of better quality as compare to the still images but they are also not of much good quality though not bad at all. The front camera doesn’t have very much power but even then it is capable of recording video at 720p and is used nicely for the selfies and the video calls.

Battery and Memory

According to the claims of the company, 2500mAh battery is capable enough to provide 864h of standby time on 2G and the similar time on 3G while 26h and 30min of talk time on 2G and 17h 30mins on 3G. This much time if is correct is not bad at all. This means the battery is capable enough to keep the phone working whole day even under heavy use. The original test doesn’t show this. The battery though is capable to provide 24hr long use of mobile but only under moderate use or the brightness of the screen has to be moderate or low. The 1GB RAM is also acceptable as this is also a mid-range device so mostly mid rangers carry 1GB RAM and works fine. The internal storage though is quite less but expansion to the memory is quite huge which is another plus in the handset.

Verdict

Microsoft Lumia 640 LTE is another mid-range device which is going to be available soon in the markets. It has decent specifications but not comparable to its own another version which is Lumia 640 XL. The fame of the device is yet to be observed once it is available for the users.
