Vivo has recently launched the Vivo X6S Plus which is yet another impressive offering from a company looking to make further inroads into the Indian smartphone ecosystem. This is in addition to the amazing Vivo Xplay5 Elite and several budget phones, such as the Vivo Y31L and the Vivo Y31A, that the company has previously launched.

The Vivo X6S Plus comes with a 5.7 inch Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 386 ppi. The phone, which is only a few inches away from being termed a phablet, boasts of a 1.8 GHz Octa Core Snapdragon 652 processor and an Adreno 510 GPU. The X6S Plus comes with an impressive 4 GB RAM. This is sure to push the device’s performance numbers on benchmarking tools pretty high.

The phone also comes with a 64 GB internal storage. That is surely another impressive feature to boast of but it gets better. The internal storage on the X6S Plus can be expanded up to 128 GB via a microSD card slot. Talk about a gargantuan storage space for all those media files and your prayers have been answered.

The Vivo X6S Plus has a 16 megapixel primary camera with LED flash and auto focus tech to boot. The secondary camera is an impressive 8 megapixel unit. The dual SIM phone which also supports all standard connectivity options, such as 4G, also has fingerprint sensors as an added feature. The battery capacity of the Vivo X6S Plus is a decent 3000 mAh. While some argue that the battery specs on this phone pale in comparison to some of its other hardware specs the fact remains that a 3000 mAh battery is still a good configuration and isn’t a disappointment at all, though I agree that Vivo could have done better in this aspect.

Last but not the least the Vivo X6S Plus is powered by the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.

The X6S Plus isn’t alone. Vivo has launced two smartphones – the Vivo X6S Plus and the Vivo X6S – and these two phones have been built with a focus on music lovers. The phones boast of some pretty impressive music-centric features. The X6S comes with a Yamaha YSS-205X signal processor and a AKM4375 32-bit DAC, while the X6S Plus boasts of an ES9028 DAC.

The two phones are almost identical except the obvious differentiators  such as screen size and battery capacity. The X6S has a 5.2 inch display and a 2400 mAh battery on offer.

Vivo has been focusing on offering some pretty unique products and the company’s different approach certainly seems to strike a chord with the consumers. Having launched a couple of clinchers in the form of the Xplay5 Elite and the X5 Max, Vivo has now decided to shift its focus to other hardware based feature enhancements.

It is worth noting that the company tries to focus on dramatically improving one hardware aspect with each new product while still maintaining balanced specs throughout. And with the Vivo IPL 2016 approaching there is no stopping Vivo from capturing the public’s imagination.
