MacBook Pro might not support Headphone Jack in future as hinted by Apple

Apple is one of the largest electronic giant and takes feedbacks of their customers and product users very seriously to bring out refined products with superior quality. Regular Surveys conducted by Apple is calculated and the result of majority is integrated to bring technological changes in the products. The recent survey conducted by Apple was to know the percentage of people using the headphone jack. The survey is a strong hint that reflects the company’s consideration is removing the 3.5mm headphone jack from future MacBook Pro produced.

Polling Question:

The survey question put up the tech giant as “Do you ever use the headphone port on your MacBook Pro with Retina display?’ with options provides as Yes, No and Not sure. Apart from this there are survey questions regarding battery life, use of SD ports and ways of uploading pictures with Retina Display. The survey questions was first analysed by Mac Rumours and has brought about some basic speculation about what Apple is about to do.

Possible Considerations:

The polling about use of headphone jack definitely hints at possibility of completely removing the headphone jack in MacBook Pro series. With these questions there are many considerations and possibilities. There might be a possibility that by removing the 3.5 mm headphone jack from future MacBook Pro models, interoperable I/O ports like USB-C, Thunderbolt 3 etc may be combined and save some internal space. It is no secret that Apple is currently aiming at redesigning the look and certain features of its flagship MacBook Pro but to boost great acceptance there might be consideration about removal of 3.5 mm jack if it not used by users often.

Final conclusion:

The changes and redesigned MacBook Pro is about to be launched in the market but its first look is yet to be unveiled. According to rumours the redesigned MacBook Pro is integrated with an OLED touch panel but the acceptance of the laptop without the headphone jack is slightly difficult. The significant upgrade with OLED panel is rumoured to support Touch ID for advanced security. The new launch is expected to have two variants which is 15-inch and 13-inch and there is requirement of macOS Sierra for proper functioning. The survey result is yet to be ascertained but the question do indicated Apple’s consideration into removing the 3.5 mm headphone jack for creating more internal space.
