Interestingly, the Honor Holly 2 Plus comes with a 4000 mAh battery which is quite a spec especially if you consider the price range that this phone is tagged with. The phone comes with Huawei’s own EMUI 3.1 as the primary user interface which is based on the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.
Huawei Honor Holly 2 Plus is the perfect phone in its price segment
Huawei is known to use some extremely competitive pricing in the global market and it seems the company has decided to bring its proven pricing strategy to the Indian market. Huawei’s smartphone business has benefited from competitive pricing for its Honor brand. So it should not come as a surprise to anyone that the company would continue to endorse this strategy with the new Honor Holly 2 Plus.
While there are numerous brands that offer good specifications at competitive prices these days few have managed to offer a battery capacity of 4000 mAh coupled with the processing powers at par with the Honor Holly 2 Plus for a price of Rs. 8,499 and thereabouts.
In fact only Gionee seems to be consistently offering better battery capacity than the Honor Holly 2 Plus in its price range. Gionee has made a name for itself with the Marathon M5 range of smartphones which offer incredible battery performance. However, the M5 range of phones are priced above Rs. 10,000.
The closest Gionee competitor to the Huawei Honor Holly 2 Plus is the Gionee Marathon M2 4GB. But other than topping the Honor Holly 2 Plus in battery capacity by a whisker the phone fails to match up to its Huawei competitor. This is also true for a number of other phones from various brands in this price segment.
The Honor Holly 2 Plus easily trumps 90% of its competitors in terms of specifications offered and pricing.
Huawei may launch more equally competitive phones soon
Huawei seems to be channeling its energies towards the Indian smartphone market right now. The company has been launching new phones in the Indian market at regular intervals but now intends to scale steadily to gain more of the market share in India. The company is expected to launch more phones with an eye on the Indian market soon. We, at iSpyPrice, are expecting Huawei to launch more phones with competitive pricing.
