The second generation, health and fitness tracker, The mi band 2 from Xiaomi is upon us with a mere price of only 1,999 INR the sales are about to start through mi.com from 27 September and then you can grab it from Amazon as well from 30 September, oh and also if you wanted something extra handy then Xiaomi has launched Mi Air Purifier 2 this Wednesday!

The newer Mi Band has, like the other existing health and fitness devices in the market, features that instantly make the user be more connected to his or her health pattern and situation. The biggest feature from the new Mi Band 2 that can be found are its .42 Inch Oled Screen Display that clearly displays up the time doing heavy or light work, steps that you took in a duration and the count for heart rates.

Another really good specification of the device is its very helpful PPG (not power Puff Girls damn it people, its Plethy- pler- pla- plethysmography, yes..that, know your complex science!) so the PPG helps you track down the signals from your heart!

Kind of a heart rate monitor, if you wish. The devices also has a 70 mAh battery that is claimed by the company gets you a 20 day constant health support on standby time, the first one with no screen had a standby time of 30 days.

Just like the earlier band the latter one also signals users by vibrating for any incoming messages, calls or some new notifications. The Xiaomi Mi Band 2 will work just fine and dandy with Android devices having Android versions 4.4 or above, even iOS 7.0 and above that.

The latest from Xiaomi the Mi band 2 wearable health band and fitness tracker supports Bluetooth 4.0 LE to pair up with Smartphone devices.

The band comes in the dimensions such as length – 40.3mm, width – 15.7mm and a side width of 10.5mm.

The weight listing on the company site says that the device weighs only 7 grams, but we think it might be 8, can’t say surely but we’ll keep you updating about this.

The band is skin friendly as it’s made of thermoplastic elastomers components and boasts of aluminum too.

And same like the earlier band, the latter band will be in Blue, Orange, green and Black colors.
