Lava Twinpad 2-in-1Lava International, an Indian technology major founded in 2009 has consistently been coming up with a range of smart gadgets including smartphones that have been lapped up by Indians. However, it has upped the ante for itself with the launch of this new Tablet – the Twinpad in February 2016. The Twinpad Tablet, as it terminology clearly suggests, also doubles up as a laptop which means you can easily switch from and between using the Twinpad as a Tablet to a portable PC.

The Tablet-cum-laptop Twinpad is supremely versatile and its lightness enables you to make the most out of its features while you’re on the move. And you don’t pay too steep a price given the gadget’s versatility. It commands a price of Rs. 15,999 which is much less than other comparable hybrids available in the market.

At the core of the Twinpad is a multi-touch 10-inch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The Twinpad is supported by a quad-core Atom Z3735F from Intel that clocks up 1.33 GHz and receives an additional enhancement of 1.83 GHz enabling you to use high-profile apps without any hindrance or snag.

The Intel chipset also gets a boost from the 2 GB RAM which renders multitasking smooth and easy. The portability of the device is a plus as it lets you connect to the net and browse regardless of whether you’re relaxing at home, working in office, or traveling.

However, the USP of the Twinpad has to be its battery that has a specification of 7,400 mAh which compares favorably with batteries embedded in other hybrid tablets. This rating is undoubtedly quite high for a 10-inch tablet since even the Huawei MateBook that boasts of a bigger display has a battery with a rating of 4430 mAh.

The Verdict

The Rs. 15, 999 price tag on the Lava Twinpad 2-in-1 Tablet is quite decent in relation to what the device is offering. It is propped by a potent processor on one hand and a handy OS on the other. The device’s functionalities also receive a good boost because of the battery. The Twinpad weighs 570 grams and has a bezel thickness of 8.5 mm that makes it easy to carry around. Surely, the Twinpad is poised to give the Micromax Canvas Laptab, the Huawei MateBook, and the Acer Aspire One a run for their money.
