Honor 8 launched in India at Rs 29,999 with dual camera set-up on rear

Huawei launched its flagship phone Honor 8 in India at a price of Rs 29,999 on 12th October and one of the exclusive features of the phone is its dual rear camera setup. It is a premium phone with metal body along with a fingerprint scanner and is an upgraded version of its previous launch. The phone is priced at Rs 29,999 and will be available through major online giants like Amazon India, Flipkart along with online Honor Store starting 3pm onwards from 12th October.

Highlights of the phone

• It is powered by Android 6.0 Marshmallow along with company’s EMUI 4.1 skin and runs on 1.8GHz Octa-Core Kirin 950 processor along with Mali T880 GPU.

• It sports a full HD display screen of 5.2 inch along with resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels for better clarity and is backed by LTPS LCD display with 96% NTSC.

• The Huawei phone comes with an inbuilt memory of 4GB RAM along with an internal memory of 32GB ROM that is expandable by up to 128 GB ROM.

• The major highlight of the phone is its rear dual camera set-up that consists of two 12-megapixel sensors sitting within the frame where one records colours and other contrast and both images are merged for the perfect one. It also has a front camera of 8-megapixel with panoramic shots support.

• It comes with a battery support of 3000mAh that gives up to 9 hours of online video streaming along with online music streaming for 24 hours.

Other features and connectivity

The phone is packed with great connectivity that is backed by a 4G LTE connection for blazing fast internet, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac for easy browsing, supports Bluetooth v4.2 for instant data transfer, supports GPS/A-GPS, is compatible with NFC along with infrared scanner. The phone supports multiple sensors like ambient light sensor, gyroscope, proximity sensor and accelerometer. The phone also comes with fast charging features and with 100 minutes of charge the battery is 100% and 47% charge with 30 minutes of charging. The phone supports single Nano SIM slot. The camera of the phone comes with many features like screen lock snapshot, virtual aperture shooting, professional mode, food mode, HDR, light painting, slow motion, document scan, sound snap, delayed shooting etc.

The phone is a mid budget phone with metal body and 2.5D glass protection with round metal edges. The fingerprint scanner has a physical press and can be used to perform many different functions like calling up Google Now, scrolling pictures through gallery etc. The phone comes with 24 month extended warranty along with 3 month screen damage replacement warranty and manufacturing defects warranty for 3 months.
