July has came which means the devices which was said to be “Launched Later This Year” will now pop out in upcoming events. The launch dates will be announced by the companies but before all those official things, the leaks and rumors about upcoming Smartphones will also pop up from here and there. Sony has not given any name to its next flagship Smartphone yet. The rumors suggest that Sony may launch this Smartphone at IFA 2017. IFA 2017 will start from 1 September. There is report that Sony is going to hold a Press Event on 31 August (Just ahead of IFA 2017). It is expected that Sony will showcase its new Flagship Smartphone at that event.

Sony’s next flagship Smartphone may feature a 6 inch Display Screen with an Aspect Ratio of 18 : 9. A Weibo Tipster claims that Sony will use Japan Display’s Panel in this Flagship Device. If the leak of the new Sony smartphone is correct then after Samsung and LG, Sony will be the third Major Android OEM Maker. LG has the G6 and Samsung has the Galaxy S8 (both sport Bezel-less Full Screen Display).
Earlier this year, Sony itself confirmed that the firm will not launch any successor to its “Premium Standard” Smartphones this year. Which means the upcoming Smartphone will not be the successor to Xperia X Compact and Xperia X. Sony has already killed its C Series and M Series so that the firm can focus on its “Xperia X Series”. Sony has announced Flagship Smartphones such as the Xperia XZ Premium as well as Some Affordable Smartphones such as the Xperia XA1 in its X Series.
