Intex is focused on the ‘Make in India’ initiative

The Intex Aqua Craze has been launched as a sign of things to come from the New Delhi company. This is what the company had to say at the launch of the Aqua Craze.

Aqua Craze is a brilliant device from the house of Intex and is a true delight for the consumers. The affordable 4G smart phone has features which will leave the consumers spell bound. We are honoured and delighted that this latest offering from Intex has been launched by the honorable Secretary, DoT. This will surely act as an impetus for us and encourage us further in our “Make in India” journey.

– Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Mobile Business Head, Intex Technologies.

Clearly Intex has its priorities set and is focused on cashing in the new found enthusiasm in India over making and promoting products in India. Being an Indian company that has progressed by leaps and bounds in the last few years Intex is certainly poised well to do so.

While the company moves forward with its stated objectives of helping push the Make in India initiative forward it is also uniquely positioned as one of the leading smartphone makers in the regional market. Along with Micromax Intex is one Indian brand that has made a name for itself in the entry level and low budget smartphone segment, which is arguably the largest market segment in India.

Some other offerings from Intex in 2016

Intex has started off 2016 with a vision to push its sales to the next level and has launched multiple phones in the last 2 months. The company launched Cloud 3G Candy and Cloud 3G Gem at a competitive price earlier this year and then went on to launch the Cloud 4G Smart last month. This clearly shows that Intex wants to wrestle with Micromax in the low-budget segment and is not willing to play second fiddle anymore.
