Features and Specifications

The screen size of this tablet is 7-inch having resolution of 600x1024p and the type of screen is LCD capacitive touchscreen. The RAM is limited here of 512MB while the internal storage of the device is 4GB which can be extended further using microSD card up to 32GB. The two cameras in it are of variable capability. The rear camera has 2MP capacity while the front one has 0.3MP capacity. OS in it is Android v4.2.2 Jelly Beans. The processor is 1.5GHz Cortex A7 and the connectivity features are Bluetooth, 3G, Edge, GPRS and Wi-Fi. Battery in this tablet is 3000mAh Li-ion.

Design and Quality

The weight of the device is 390g while its dimensions are 189x108x11mm. This is a beautifully designed device. The large screen is quite responsive and works perfectly for videos and games along with other activities. The back of the device is made up of plastic of good quality which gives perfect grip while the front is all glass. The power button and volume rocker are placed towards the top while the speaker can be found towards the bottom of the front screen. The 3.5mm headset jack can be found towards the right hand side. The look of the device is quite impressive.

OS and Tech

OS here is not very new but Jelly Beans is not that old to give any sort of performance degradation of the device but the performance laps are observed due to the limited RAM. The processor though is powerful enough to give the OS good support to perform well. The RAM should have been upgraded if the OS is not going to be upgraded in this tablet and this is due to the fact that no matter how latest OS is, if the RAM is limited, the performance of the device will be interrupted.

Camera and Multimedia

The camera as usual in most of the tablets is not very impressive. The rear camera is 2MP while the front one is 0.3MP but since the rear camera is not being supported by the flashlight so the camera performance under low light is not at all good and the quality is completely zero but under good light conditions, the quality of the images are not very bad though grainy. The videos recorded by it are also of the same quality if recorded under good light. The front camera is used for the video calls and the selfies.

Battery and Memory

3000mAh battery is not bad. This provides quite longer backups but it is suggested to carry charger along if the tablet is being carried along as well as the battery may not long than 3-4hrs. The more battery is being eaten up if the games and videos are being played on the screen along with internet surfing. The RAM is too much limited which should have been at least 1GB. The internal built-in storage is 4GB which is indeed less but the expansion of 32GB is quite decent enough for this device to be used.

This device can easily get adjusted within a budget very smartly along with quite decent features and specifications. This tablet has 2G calling feature as well which also enhances its importance and may meet the requirements of most of the people. This device is only available in black. Some other tablets in market are having better specifications from this one by adding little more budget to it. Asus Memo Pad 8 is a tablet which is a tough competitor to Videocon VA78 and has much better specifications than this one like KitKat OS, Quad core processor, 8GB internal storage and 1GB RAM at almost the same price where this tablet is available.
