The 8MP camera is not bad at all for Alcatel OneTouch Idol S. the performance of the camera suffers from degradation at time and the white colors generally appears grey in it and the details appeared from the picture are also less. The autofocus features are less responsive rather it is very slow. Under good lighting, the quality of the photos is acceptable but the performance becomes worst under low light. The videos recorded by it is better than still images but little more work needs to be done on the colors. The front facing secondary camera is even worse than the rear one. Alcatel OneTouch Idol S device could have been a great deal if the battery life has been given little boost. People who love photography, then surely they will look for other handsets as this device is very low in camera department. The plus of this device is the attractive design full HD screen and the 4G support. On the other hand the occasionally suffering of the performance may disturb users. This device is better than Motorola Moto G who also provides 4G support but at expensive price. There is though a very tough competition in the market for this device and Alcatel need to bring little updates in the weak areas to remain forefront in this competition otherwise it is going to be very tough to retain customers.
