The latest addition to the Assassin’s Creed game series is out and this time the epic adventure will take you through violent seas and corrupt lands. Developed by Ubisoft Sofia and published by Ubisoft, Assassin's Creed: Rogue is a single-player open-world action-adventure stealth game for the Xbox One console that serves as a sequel to Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Rated 18 by PEGI, Assassin's Creed : Rogue is also linked to Assassin’s Creed III and Assassin’s Creed Unity. Set during the Seven Years’ War which occurred between 1752 and 1761, Assassin's Creed : Rogue follows Shay Patrick Cormac, a gifted young fighter who is recruited by the Assassin’s Brotherhood. After he is betrayed by the Brotherhood, Shay, seeking vengeance, turns to the Templar Order and becomes an Assassin Hunter. These circumstances pave the way for Shay’s sinister transformation; a change that will determine the fate of the Assassin’s Brotherhood as well as the French and British colonies in the North American continent. The gameplay sees the player controlling Shay Patrick Cormac as he treads his dark path. This is the first time in this series that you get to experience what it is like to be a Templar. Apart from the deadly abilities of a Master Assassin, Shay also wields a lethal air rifle which can be used for short range and long range combat; this weapon can be equipped with specialized bullets and more. Grenades are another addition to your arsenal of weaponry. Shay’s heightened eagle vision allows you to assess situations and threats accurately; meticulously spot Assassins who are hiding in the shadows and beyond the grasp of normal sight. Assassin's Creed : Rogue takes the naval experience offered in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag to a whole new level. Set sail on the Morrigan, Shay’s ship, through the frigid seas of the North Atlantic and the narrow rivers of America’s river valleys. Enemies utilize new tactics to thwart your sea voyage. New naval weapons that have been featured in this game include the puckle gun, and burning oil which, in order to burn enemy ships, leaves a trail of fire behind the Morrigan. Discover hidden locations by ramming through ice sheets and use icebergs to conceal yourself from your rivals during naval battles. Furthermore, you can explore the expanse of a precisely recreated 18th century New York City.
