iBall Slide Brace X1 Tablet Price in India
Ever since 2010 iBall has been working to give the consumer market one of the best locally produced mobile phones. They are one among the few local companies that have been able compete against the mainstream companies like Samsung and Nokia. They are also one of the best producers of tablets in India and their tablets are full of promise when it comes to performance and perfect value for money. The iBall Slide Brace-X1 is yet no exception, though when compared to other tablets in the market it may seem a bit pricey but be sure that this iBall can pack some punches.
Features and Specifications:
This iBall tab comes loaded with a massive 10.7inch touchscreen and the resolution is 1280x800 pixels. The tablet is run by a 1.7 GHz not a quad core but an Octa-core CPU and the ram of this tablet is 2 GB. This is one of the best offers in this price range as even the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 which costs more or less the same as this tablet has a dual core processor. The rom of the tablet is 16 GB and it is only expandable to 32 GB which is sad, since you expect more from a device which has so much to offer in terms of performance and display. When it comes to multimedia this tablet once more excels its competitors with its 134 megapixels camera at back and 5 megapixels camera upfront. The tab is also has brilliant battery 7800 mAh. The tab is available with dual sim capabilities but rather sadly it lacks LTE and offers only 3 G and 2 G network connectivity. Further on other features on the tab include Wi-Fi, micro USB connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0, OTG cable connectivity and Wi-Fi direct.
Design and Quality:
The first thing you notice about this tablet is its massive size, looking at it front you notice the 10.7 inch HD screen which covers up most of the front face of this tablet. Even the android style navigation keys are embedded into the bottom end of the screen so that whichever way you put the laptop those keys can easily be accessed by the user. Sticking to front side the 5 megapixels front facing camera is located to the left side of the screen. At the bottom of the tablet there is a movable kickstand which can be adjusted in different was to place the tab on flat surfaces. The micro USB and the 3.5 mm audio jack is located on the right side of the tab whereas the power button and the volume rocker are housed on the opposite side of that. The speakers are very neatly integrated into the kickstand and are placed where the sound they produce is pretty audible. Onto the backside of the tablet you see the housing for the kickstand which also houses the two Sims and the memory card slot and right next to that is the 13 megapixels primary camera with the LED flash.
OS and Tech:
The iBall Slide Brace-X1 is powered by the Android 4.4.2 KitKat, which isn’t the latest offering from Google, but still this is among the best OS out there in the market, it is not heavy on the hardware can is pretty swift in its functioning. The UI has been very discretely modified with all the goodness of the KitKat still there. The Tab can handle any kind of load with its octa core and a 2 GB ram and multitasking is no issue to this device.
Camera and Multimedia
This particular tablet is what you call a pure multimedia device, the primary camera of the Brace-X1 is 13 megapixels camera and the secondary camera is 5 megapixels sensors. Both cameras provide good quality pictures and the camera has the features like Panorama, Geotagging, HDR, face detection and smile detection. The built in picture and video editor also comes in handy when it comes to making your memories even more memorable. The screen of the tablet is also one of the best and the brightest display out there. The screen is full HD and can have good contrast and color saturation is also quite respectable.
Battery and Memory:
The battery of Brace-X1 is one of the major winning factor of this tablet, as it comes loaded with a majestic 7200 mAh battery which the company promises will be able to give more than five hours of full HD video playback time and talk time of up to 60 hours on 2 G. This in average daily use can last you up to 24 hours on a single charge. The built in memory is 16 GB whereas the micro SD card can house a card of up to 32 GB which is less considering the performance output of the device. But then again the memory can further be expanded with the aid of the OTG cable so the possibilities are limitless
Pros and Cons:
For Pros
· Excellent battery timing
· HD display
· Dual Sim
· Octa Core processor
For Cons
· Portability issue
Verdict:
The iBall Slide Brace-X1 is one of the best tablets present out there in the market specially when you think over the fact that the tablets offering the same performance figures by other manufacturers cost one and half times more than this and the Samsung Tab 2 which costs exactly the same can’t match any of the performance figures of this brilliant device. This tablet is definitely a must have if you are not looking for a very portable tablet.
