This is another mid-range tablet from Lenovo having 7-inch large screen and is priced at quite affordable price. Lenovo has been quite active in Indian markets and is very much famous for launching mid-range devices. This is another experiment from the company and this device has quite attractive features along with good design. Since the market is quite saturated so this tablet has to struggle hard to make its place in the eyes of the users. This device has some good features which may compel users to buy it.
Feature and Specifications
Lenovo A7-10 Tab 2 has been released this year. The weight of the device is 269g but it doesn’t accept SIM. The size of the screen is 7inch with type of IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen and provides resolution of 600x1024 p. The screen also offers multi-touch. OS in this tablet is Android v4.4 KitKat while the processor is 1.3GHz Quad core. RAM is 1GB and the internal storage is 8GB and is also expandable up to 32GB using the microSD card. This tablet has only one camera at the rear side which is VGA camera and also records videos but there is no front facing camera. Battery in it is 3450mAh Li-ion which is non-removable while the connectivity options included are Bluetooth, microUSB, Wi-Fi, GPS and A-GPS.
Design and Quality
Lenovo A7-10 Tab 2 is quite slim and actually looks good while in hand. The back of the device is slightly curved and the edges are not at all sharp. The back of the device is black in color along with having grayish texture. The body is plastic but the quality of the plastic is quite good and doesn’t look cheap. Towards the top are the 3.5mm headset jack as well as microUSB port. Towards the right hand side are the volume rocker and the power button while under the back cover is the non-removable battery and microSD card slot. There is no button on the left hand side. The touch of the screen is quite smooth and the viewing angles are also decent.
OS and Tech
Android v4.4 KitKat which is though an old OS but it works fine on this device. But since this is tablet, so 1GB of RAM will not be able to keep the device performance high. The multitasking of the device is though decent enough and the performance laps are not observed.
Camera and Multimedia
Camera has always been failure of the tablet and the companies hardly give any attention towards it. This tablet has also been equipped with VGA camera at the rear side without any LED light. Since it is VGA camera so much cannot be expected from it. It has poor quality of performance and the images are very blurry. The videos recorded by it are also very noisy and shaky. Since it has no LED light so under low light, the performance of the camera is almost zero. There is no front camera provided to this device which means that it cannot be used for selfies and the video calls.
Battery and Memory
Battery is decent enough here and 3450mAh battery does its job well providing about 4-5hrs of the device usage time which is not bad at all. Since this cannot be used for calling purpose so the major use of the tablet is to surf the internet, watch videos and play games. RAM is limited here as 1GB of RAM may not serve its purpose for a tablet. The internal storage though is less but the expansion is decent enough/

Verdict
Lenovo A7-10 Tab 2 is only good for those people who are more concerned about the price of the devices. This device good reasonable performance for the price range it has been offered at. It doesn’t have any 2G/3G as no SIM slot is provided in it. Lenovo another tablet with the name Tab A7-30 is a better option than this one even though if it is little heavier to Tab 2A7-10 and the camera of the A7-30 is also of better quality than this one. So little more money can bring better value to the investment.
