Here comes a Tablet with a great price. Now, we know what you are thinking! The first thing that comes to our mind when we hear great price is “Maybe the features aren’t that great” But the Xolo Play Tab 7.0 might leave you surprised. The tablet has good features at a very affordable price. It has its own set of pros and one or two cons but which device doesn’t have a few cons? The Tablet was released in October 2013. Let us take a look and see if it is still relevant today.
Features & Specifications: The Xolo PLAY Tab 7.0 is a 7 inch tablet with a 1.2GHz processor. It runs on an Android Operating system and has a 3 Quad Code processor. The 7 inch screen has the provision to display 800 x 1280 pixels. The tablet comes with Wi-Fi capacity but no SIM card slot. That means you cannot use the device for making calls or for data when you are not in a Wi-Fi enabled room. It has GPS and supports all the social networking apps which is a given in almost all the latest devices.
Design and Quality: The device weighs 338 grams and its dimensions are 194.6 x 122.6 x 10.6mm. The display is a 7 inch colour capacitive IPS screen and has the ability to display 16 million colours. The IPS display makes it possible to clearly see the screen even from tricky angles. The display has multi touch facility and displays 1800 x 1280 pixels. The pixel density is around 216ppi. The design of the tablet is quite good and it is available only in Black. The rounded edges will certainly remind you of Samsung.
OS and Tech: The tablet comes with an Android 4.1v Operating System (Jellybean). The OS could have been better since it is slightly out dated. The CPU is 1NVIDIA Tegra 3 (Quad Core). It runs at 1.2 GHz. The processor is sufficient to support medium levels of multi tasking. The device also comes with a graphics card from NVIDIA.
Camera and Multimedia:The camera is 2 megapixels. One major drawback of the device is that it does not have a secondary camera. The picture quality is quite ordinary and leaves much to be desired. The only audio format supported is MP3. The video playback is full HD. The device also supports viewing of documents so you can also use it for business if it revolves around documents. The Audio jack is the usual 3.5mm one.
Battery and Memory: The Xolo PLAY Tab 7.0 packs a 4000 mAh Li-Po battery which is sufficient for a tablet with a large display. Now you can watch movies and play games on the go. The device has an 8GB internal memory which is decent and the RAM is 1GB which is good too. The internal memory is expandable to 32GB using a Micro SD card. So total you have the capability of storing 40GB worth of data in there. Go ahead, put your favourite sitcom in there and watch it anywhere and everywhere!

Overall, the tablet has good features at a decently low price. The lack of the secondary camera means no selfies and no video calling. If you wish to use your device just for watching movies and playing games with some medium amount of work, this device will work for you. The lack of the second camera and outdated OS certainly explain the low price. There are quite a few devices in the same price range. For starters check out Mercury mTAB 7G and Asus Fonepad 7.
