The Swipe MTV slate is a new 3G tablet launched by Swipe Telecom. It has been associated with MTV for quite a while now. The company has conducted large scale research to come up with a device that strengthens its portfolio among the youth. California based company Swipe Telecom has a track record of releasing decent tablets and mobiles by partnering MTV. Dual SIM tablets are one of the main areas of specialization. In the ever changing market place, the company would face competition from companies like Lenovo, Micromax, Karbonn and others. However, the launching of this device is a step ahead in positive direction. It will help the company to gain a stronger foothold among the buyers who are spoilt for choice.

Features and specifications

The iPad air lookalike Swipe MTV slate features a large 7.85 inch HD IPS display. It has resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels offering a clean and clear viewing. It is bound to catch the attention of gadget lovers. The screen also provides a decent e-book reading experience but it may not perform at its best outdoors. With decent software support, it maintains an unparalleled speed and accuracy for users. There is SIM card support and voice calling capability with basic connectivity options. Design and Quality

The attractive metallic black panel design can be referred as modified version of former Swipe MTV slash. Verdict

The Swipe MTV slate is rated high by experts that aren’t surprising at all. Its well-balanced specifications are highly sought after by tablet owners. However, a better quality of camera might have been a valuable addition. It is likely to face some completion from devices like Micromax Canvas Tab 650 and Lenovo IdeaTab A3000 which have better storage capacity. However, the budget price tag will be dearer to many buyers.
