Xiaomi’s First Laptop “Mi Notebook Air” Launched on Wednesday

Rumors that told that Xiaomi will enter the PC market got true on Wednesday as Xiaomi launched its First Ever Laptop “Mi Notebook Air” in Two Variant Sizes. The name of this Laptop shows that Xiaomi is targeting Apple’s Macbook Air by launching this Xiaomi Laptop. Along with this Laptop, Xiaomi also launched the Redmi Pro at this event.

Highlights of The Launch :

• Xiaomi Launched First Laptop “Notebook Air” in 12.5 Inch & 13.3 Inch Size Variants.

• Notebook Air has Metallic Body, Full HD Display and it is Slimmer than Apple’s Macbook Air.

• The Smaller Laptop will cost CNY 3499 and the Larger One will cost CNY 4999.

• Accessories such as Leather Sleeve (at CNY 299), PU Leather Sleeve (at CNY 99), and Microfiber Sleeve (at CNY 69) are also available with the Laptops.

To compete with Apple in Laptop market, Xiaomi now has launched its first ever Laptop dubbed as “Notebook Air” just as Apple’s “Macbook Air”. The Metallic Laptop is launched in 12.5 Inch (CNY 3499 or Rs 35300) and 13.3 Inch (CNY 4999 or Rs 51400) Display Size Variants. The Laptops are enabled with Blue-tooth v4.1 which give these Laptops unlock support via the Mi Band 2. Buyer can choose from Silver and Gold Color Variants of these Laptops.

Notebook Air vs Macbook Air :

13.3 Inch Wide Display Laptop Notebook Air has Full HD Resolution. The Laptop has same display size as Apple’s Macbook yet it is 11% Smaller than the MacBook Air in term of complete Body. It is only 14.8 mm thick which is very low if compared with Apple’s MacBook which is 17 mm thick. The Windows 10 Home based Laptop has 1.28 kg which is lower than Apple’s MacBook which has 1.35 kg weight. The Device is powered by 6th Generation Intel Core i5 Processor which is paired with Nvidia GPU, 1 GB GDDR5 VRAM, 8 GB DDR4 RAM and 256 GB PCIe SSD. The Laptop’s Battery gets 50% charged in just 30 minutes and delivers 9.5 hrs life on a full charge, The Company claims.

12.5 Inch Variant is 12.9 mm thick which is lower than 12 Inch MacBook’s 13.1 mm as well as it has 1.07 kg weight which is a bit higher than Macbook’s 0.92 kg weight. It has Full HD Display, Intel Core M3 Processor coupled with 4 GB RAM. It has 128 GB SATA SSD and powerful Battery that lasts for 11.5 hrs.

Both these Laptops has Edge-to-edge Glass Protection, Backlit Keyboard, AKG Dual Speakers (with Dolby Digital Surround Sound), Mi Cloud Sync, an HDMI Port, 2 USB 3.0 Ports, a USB Type-C Port and 3.5 mm Audio Jack. These Laptops not has Ethernet Ports or Optical Drive.
