Xiaomi expected to launch its Xiaomi Meri aka Mi 5c on 12th December

Xiaomi has launched many phones in 2016 and the latest and last launch for 2016 is expected to be of Xiaomi Meri aka Mi 5c which is expected to be launched on 12th December. According to some fresh reports the company is all set to launch the phone in China and its launch in any other international market is yet to be revealed.

Tipped to run on in-house Pine Cone Chipset

The phone is expected to run on the in-house Pine Cone processor which is Xiaomi’s own processor. There have been lot of reports about Xiaomi working on developing its own processor and now there are some news and leaks about the company ready to launch its own processor in the market. The Xiaomi’s in house Pine Cone chipset is equivalent and designed to compete with many in-house chips like Kirin chipset designed by Huawei, Exynos Chipset designed by Samsung etc.

Other Highlights of the phone

• It is expected to run on 1.4GHz Octa Core Pine Core processor along with ARM Mali-T860 GPU and to be powered by Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI8 interface.

• The Xiaomi phone is expected to have a full HD display screen of size 5.5 inch and comes with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels enforcing better clarity and 403 ppi pixel density.

• The phone is also expected to support NFC which would enable the user to make payments and run many other functions.

• The phone is expected to have an internal memory of 3GB RAM but no leaks about ROM capacity and storage is out yet.

Conclusion

It is tipped by Kjuma that the specifications are to be integrated in the phone and has also provided some leaked photos, price and few specifications on Weibo. The phone is expected to be launched with a price of CNY 1,499 (Approximately Rs 14,800) but there is no official announcement about anything from Xiaomi. The phone is expected to be launched in three colours which are Gold, Black and Rose Gold colour. As per the leaks the phone is to be launched in its home country China on 12th December but has not yet been declared by the company officially. The launch of the phone in any international market including India cannot be said and more information will be rolled out only after its initial launch.
