Nexus 6P is a great phone but lately few of its users have complained about battery issues related to the Huawei phone. Last month some of its users complained about the phone switching off automatically even after it has decent amount of battery remaining in it. Some users claimed that the issue of the battery is after the device update to Android 7.0 Nougat. Google has so far not fixed the issue related to battery draining off despite multiple complains by users on complaint forums and threads.

Issues reported by customers

There are many issue of Nexus 6P being reported by customers and the issues are already posted on Google’s Issue Tracker. The issues however are not yet resolved and kept at low priority by the users. As reported by AndroidPolice some users complained that the battery of the phone went straight to draining off straight from 60% of the charge. Most of the users said the battery died off anywhere between 10 to 60% and there is may be something related to the temperature. It is seen that the problem is more persistent in colder region.

Users are not happy

Despite repeated complains users are not getting a resolution from Google and as reported by customers due to sudden battery failure many people aren’t able to contact anyone. The battery shuts down abruptly even though there is charge left in the phone. One of the users of the phone told 9to5Google that although there was 50% battery left in the phone when he wanted to call his family member in an emergency situation he wasn’t able to do so.

Conclusion

The abrupt shutting down of the phone due to battery issue as pointed by many users is seen after the upgrading the phone to Android 7.0 Nougat. Many users also tried to go back to the previous version of the OS but still issue was not resolved. On changing the version it was however seen that battery died off when there was lower level of charge as compared to charge in Android 7.0 Nougat. Users are highly disappointed as Google is not able to give a definite resolution and even the root cause of the issue is not yet known. It is high time Google rollout out a resolution before any further trouble is created.
