Two foldable phones to be developed by Samsung: 2017 to see the first model in Market

Samsung is one of the largest and best smartphone makers in the world and has periodically given way for variations in their model. It has almost all of the designs in its kitty right from curved screen to bezel less phones but currently Samsung is busy working on its upcoming foldable phones. Samsung is busy designing and moulding two foldable phones and one of them as per reports is scheduled to be launched in 2017. The company is also rumoured to unveil the phones at MWC 2017 but it is just tipped not confirmed.

Two foldable phones by Samsung

Samsung is acting on two foldable models with one model expected to include dual flat screen on both sides and with one model expected to have single OLED display screen. The specification regarding the screen was reported by Etnews. The company is expected to bring its first model to market by 2017 but in case of the dual screen model it is expected to manufacture less models initially to check response by users.

Screen features of both Samsung phones

In case of the smartphone that is to feature the dual screen it is expected to most probably have two flat displays on either side and the phone will be able to fold itself via a hinge between two displays. The display on the inside will not be visible once inside. The other smartphone also is expected to have a panel bending on self and that the display on both front and back side in the handset will be visible. The later model would require more advanced hardware due to its self folding display. The former model of foldable phone is expected to be launched first. In the smartphones which are out-foldable, panels work even at bent point as quoted by Etnews.

The foldable smartphone with display panel inside on folding the phone is already shown by Samsung in a small teaser. As it was mentioned by one of the experts from the industry – “In-foldable Smartphone is seen as a first type of a foldable Smartphone. Out-foldable Smartphone is the next step of in-foldable Smartphone.” Samsung was rumoured to unveil the foldable smartphones for the first time in MWC 2017. It was according to some reports that the launch of foldable smartphones by Samsung was negatively impacted by Galaxy Note 7 recall worldwide.
