Samsung has been under dark shade after the recall of Galaxy Note 7 but it has not deterred the determination of the smartphone giant with a leaked teaser that claims to launch the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 on 26th February. This indicates that launch will not pre-pone and according to details shared by Ricciolo, Samsung is expected to organise its next Galaxy Unpacked event along with MWC in Barcelona, an event that marks the historical launch of Galaxy S series.

Features and expected changes

The Samsung phone is expected to have few changes than the previous models and as per rumours it is expected to get rid of the signature home button. There is a major change to be done on the display and the news was given by ET News Korea. Most of the previous launches from the smartphone are similar but one of the significant changes the phone is to have is bezel-less design. With this the phone is supposed to be the first bezel less design for Samsung. Also reported by ET North Korea, “ Galaxy S8 will be equipped with half of Snapdragon 830s and half of Exynos that is manufactured by Samsung Electronics System LSI Business Department.”

There are few details leaked about the phone before its launch and one of them is the dual camera set-up. The phone is expected to sport a rear camera of 16-megapixel and 8-megapixel as it is said to have dual camera. It was reported by Galaxyclub that company applied for two trademarks one of which is “LightUpCamera” and other is “Light+Camera”. An excerpt from the trademark said Camera Sensor integration would help in taking photographs and pictures in low-light environment, enhance the brightness and clarify digital image.

The phone is expected to have integration of new design and as per reports the front side of the phone is expected to be all glass with no home button and incorporate fingerprint sensing. It is also expected to be powered by an upgraded application processor. The pre-launch teaser is yet to be made official by Samsung and this leaves everyone with lot of questions and curiosity. Samsung did mention launch of its flagship Galaxy and Note Series but not particularly with names. This might be an attempt to bring stability after the disaster of Samsung Galaxy note 7 series.
