Samsung claims the Samsung Galaxy S7 is now safe, no more explosions in future

2016 was not a very great year for the Smartphone warrior Samsung with its share dipping down and loss incurred due to discontinuation and recall of Samsung Galaxy 7 after multiple cases of battery explosion and fire. The issue was due to faulty battery that led to massive loss but now there is a possible ray of hope as Samsung now declares that Samsung S7 Family is now safe via its statement.

Statement released by Samsung

Samsung took responsibility of the disasters related to Samsung Galaxy S7 and called for a investigation to find the issue. According to Samsung as of now no cases of explosion and battery fire is found due to failure of the internal battery but they could confirm few cases of explosion due to extreme external damage. As per the statement released by Samsung – “ There have been no confirmed cases of internal battery failures with these devices among the more than 10 million devices being used by consumers in the United States; however, we have confirmed a number of instances caused by severe external damage.” Samsung as of now is now able to zero down to exact cause of the explosion incident.

Cases of explosion of the Samsung phone

There were lot of cases reported about the explosion and fire leading to third degree burn in some users. Recently a case of an explosion incident of Samsung Galaxy S7 was reported of handset explosion leading to burning of the user’s hands. There was also an incident reported last month about Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge regarding its explosion while on charge. The user said that while his phone was on charge with the original Samsung charger, it caught fire. Another incident was reported about the Galaxy S7 Edge explosion in pocket leading to severe burns in the user. There was also an incident reported for Samsung Galaxy J5 from France related to its fire and explosion.

Conclusion

There was a message sent by Samsung to all the users of Samsung Galaxy S7 that the phone is safe to use and there will be no possible re-call but there are lot of incidents of burning, fire and explosion reported despite all. For reasons unknown there are many smartphone manufacturers including Apple identified with problems related to explosion and fire. Although Samsung gave a clean chit on the safety of the phone, the latest reports can be ignored.
