Let’s quickly run through the specs on the Meizu M2.

Specifications – Meizu M2

The Meizu M2 comes with a 5 inch HD display which is in good hands with the Dragon Trail Glass protection technology. The phone also boasts of a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor, a 2 GB RAM, and 16 GB of internal storage. The Meizu M2 has a 13-megapixel rear camera that comes with autofocus and LED flash, while the front facing camera is a decent 5 megapixel unit.

The phone runs on the Flyme 4.5 UI which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. This dual-SIM device also has a reasonably good battery unit of 2500 mAh.

How has the Meizu M2 done so far?

This is not the first open sale for the Meizu M2. In fact this is the fifth time it has gone up for an open sale. Each time the phone has done well in sales and there has been very little complaints from the consumers, if any, about the phone not being able to deliver on what it promises.

One of the primary reasons why the Meizu M2 has done well in each open sale is that it offers a more than sufficient camera specification for a phone in that price range. The Meizu M2 remains one of the very few smartphones to offer a 13 megapixel camera for just under Rs. 7,000. The sales of the Meizu M2 hasn’t surprised anyone. It is a good phone for its price and is a great choice if you have a tight budget but want a good camera phone.

Some of Meizu’s other offerings

Meizu has made a mark with its products in the Indian smartphone market. The bigger cousin of the Meizu M2 has also been well received by consumers. The Meizu M2 Note may not be the best selling phablet going around but it is certainly one of the better ones in its price range. The Meizu M2 Note has a 5.5 inch display and a 1.3 GHz octa-core processor. This is what makes it slightly costlier than the Meizu M2. However, the rest of the specifications on the Meizu M2 Note remain the same.

Perhaps Meizu’s best product in the market thus far has been the Meizu MX5. The MX5 is a spectacular phone for what it’s worth. Around the time when it was launched it outperformed pretty much every other Android phone in the world in benchmarking and performance analysis. It scored the highest benchmark scores of any Android phone back then and still remains one of the best in that regard.
