Latest Android 7.0 Nougat Update now available for HTC 10

HTC is one of the major smartphone selling companies and it was only in August that the company announced that HTC 10 will be the first phone from the company to get updated with Android 7.0 Nougat. It did not mention the exact dates but did announce that the update can be expected to start from around fourth quarter of the year. After lot of speculation HTC finally announced that unlocked HTC 10 handset will finally be receiving the OS update to Android 7.0 Nougat from 25th November onwards.

Confirmed by senior official of HTC

The confirmation about the Android 7.0 Nougat update was give by the Vice President of Product Management, Mo Versi and he also confirmed regarding the update from 25TH November. In a statement he said – “Happy Thanksgiving! HTC 10 unlocked owners will receive Nougat OS update tomorrow morning! Enjoy!” There was no specific reason given by him regarding the rollout of the update on Friday. With the information about the update it is expected that the upgrade to Android 7.0 Nougat by HTC 10 will soon be available globally.

Other HTC phones for the Nougat Update

Android 7.0 Nougat is the latest update by Google for OS and is undoubtedly superior in terms of features and application performance. HTC 10 is the first phone that is to be updated with Android Nougat but also the other phones HTC One M9 and HTC One A9 are in pipeline to get the Nougat Update by the company in future. After the launch of HTC One A9 phone there was a statement released by HTC that the unlocked version of the phone will get Android update within 15 days after it being pushed to Google’s Nexus device but HTC could not keep the promise and the phone remained without any update. The phone was launched back in March.

With the rollout of the Android 7.0 Nougat update the phone will witness some changes in terms of running the application and phone definitely with come with superior performance. As of now HTC10 is the only phone that has updated Nougat rollout but with the promise made by the company for the other phones we might soon hear the Android 7.0 Nougat update for even HTC OneA9.
