iPhone 8 expected to have 3D Photography feature with LG made dual camera Equipped

Apple is known to create products that are spectacular and unique and this time with the rumoured plan of integration of 3D photography, iPhone 8 is sure to stand out. Apple has been working with LG and as per rumours the Cupertino based company Apple will be using dual camera manufactured for LG Innotek for introducing 3D photography in the Apple phone.

Integration of 3D technology in iPhone 8

As of now Apple is making a complete study on integration of the innovative 3D technology for camera in the iPhone 8. They are trying to find out ways on how to integrate 3D Technology into LG Innotek’s camera for smartphone. It was reported by close associated who said – “Since LG Innotek also has its own 3D camera and related technologies, such joint efforts will likely to bear fruit sometime within [the] next year”. Apple acquired Israel based company called LinX in April 2015 and using this company to add the 3D technology. LinX enables apps to capture the 3D information captured by camera and analyse new features like refocusing ability after its capture, measuring the object dimension along with 3D modelling and check for video calls.

LG Innotek and its apple connection

The dual camera by LG Innotek are best in class and as per report are currently being used in the latest Apple Launch iPhone 7 Plus phones. In 2011 LG launched its first 3D based smartphone with the LG Optimus 3D and since then the company has been dealing with the LG Phones with 3D cameras. It is now clear that iPhone 7 Plus already has used the dual camera set-up by LG Innotek and with this iPhone 8 model is also expected to have the dual camera set with 3D function from LG.

iPhone 8 is expected to be launched next year with 3D photography based dual camera set-up by LG and next year also marks the 10 years anniversary of the company since it launched its first iPhone and thus it will ditch the “S” letter and instead straightway name it iPhone 8. It is also rumoured that along with the 3D technology inclusion Apple is also trying to include AR features in the iPhone 8 camera app. As of now we cannot say or confirm the information till Apple officially shade some light on their progress.
