Intex Launches the Super Affordable Cloud Tread Smartphone with Hexa core Processor and 2 GB RAM

Intex is among the prominent home-bred players in the Indian smartphone market. According to a report by IDC Intex held the third position in the market with a share of 9.2% as of Q1 (2016). This is no surprise given the fact that the company’s 4G shipments doubled over the last quarter.

Another reason why Intex has been on a roll is because of its rapidly expanding product portfolio. The latest addition to the portfolio is the highly affordable phone – Intex Cloud Tread. Now, let us have a look at the features this smartphone is packing.

Specifications – Intex Cloud Tread

With regard to the form factor, the dimensions of the Intex Cloud Tread are 145 x 72 x 9.4 mm. It has a neat unibody design with 67.06% screen-to-body (bezel to screen) ratio. As for the platform, it runs on Android v5.1 (Lollipop). The phone has a decent 2,200 mAh lithium-ion battery, which apparently allows for up to 11 hours of talk time and about 200 hours of standby time.

The competitors of the phone include models such as Karbonn Titanium S205, Sony Xperia Tipo, Micromax Canvas Spark 3 Q385, Spice X-Plor 525Q, and Asus ZenFone Go 4.5 ZC451TG.

The price of the smartphones produced by the company ranges from about Rs. 700 to Rs. 12,900. Clearly, the company caters to the price-conscious masses in India.
