Google recently announced what the ‘M’ in Android M stood for. It stands for Marshmallow. And with that Google’s tradition of naming the latest iterations of the Android operating system after desserts continued.

Starting with Android 1.5, which was API level 3 for the world’s most dominant mobile operating system, Google has given sugary and delicious code names to each new version. The latest addition to this delectable series – Android Marshmallow – promises to be the most user-centric Android OS ever.
