Asus all set to launch Zenfone AR Google Tango smartphone during CES 2017

Asus has gained lot of name and popularity in the world of smartphones with its worldclass features. With this Asus is all set to be next smartphone manufacturer to launch Google Tango based smartphone which was confirmed by Jerry Shen, CEO of Asus. Asus has not yet informed anything else but is to unveil the phone for the first time in CES 2017. The phone is expected to bring advanced revolution in technology and give tough competition to all the competitors.

Tango Project Inspired Phone

Google’s Tango Project is more camera centric project with revolutionary advancement to camera and sensor. The set up for the camera is to provide motion tracking, greater area learning and more depth perception. The new project by Google supported augmented reality application which includes gaming, indoor navigation and search. Asus is to unveil the first look of the Google Tango enabled product in CES 2017 as reported by Digitimes. It is not yet confirmed if the company with produce multiple smartphones based on Google Tango or only keep it limited to one particular phone like Lenovo did.

First Google Tango Smartphone

Lenovo Phab 2 Pro was the first smartphone in the world that was manufactured with the revolutionary Google Tango. It was launched at a price of $499 (approximately Rs 33,300) and was the first successful commercial product from Google’s Project Tango that incorporated machine vision for augmented reality. The phone has a QHD IPS based display screen with a size of 6.4 inch and included in total 4 cameras. The front camera was of 8 megapixel, has a rear RGB camera of 16 megapixel, infrared camera backed by depth sensing inclusive of emitter and imager and lastly a motion tracking camera. During the launch of the phone special Tango app store included only 25 apps but the value is expected to touch 100 apps by end of 2016.

Conclusion

Lenovo had already launched its phone with Google Tango which has done pretty good commercially and now Asus is also to walk in the same line. As claimed by Jerry Shen the Zenfone 4 smartphone with Google Tango is to be launched in the second quarter of 2017 and committed on improved camera features. Asus is trying its hands into this technology as it has faced loss due to lower shipments than the expected ratio.
