Design and Quality

Apart from the bigger screen, it has black bars along the top and bottom holding various buttons and sensors. The bottom bar has three buttons: back, start and search. The top bar has the earpiece, and the 0.3Mp front camera lens along with Nokia logo. The back is plain and has a featureless carbonate cover. At the bottom is the speaker and towards the top is the 5MP camera and LED light. The bottom of phone also carries micro USB port for plugging in the charger or for computer connectivity. The right side has camera button, power button and volume rocker. These design features makes it to bring incredible quality for its functionalities.

OS and Tech

Although it is available with Windows Phone 8.1 installed in it but since Nokia has released Cyan over the air update which allows installing latest version of Microsoft’s OS to the phone. This adds many features as well like user interface tweaks and Android like notification drop down menu etc.

Camera and Multimedia

Nokia Lumia has 5MP camera along with Nokia’s Smart Cam app which helps in taking many photos at once when the shutter is pressed. It also allows selecting the best shot among so many taken shots. Its motion focus feature helps in putting moving object in the middle of the frame and blurs the background in order to make it feel like it is moving at higher speed. The picture quality is too high and the colors are very accurate giving very real images. Though pictures in dark do produce little noise but they are acceptable.

Verdict

Nokia Lumia 625 is snappy enough and does well under Windows Operating System. But the price has been set little high as compared to its features and functionalities. The camera is good but not great and the screen is not equally good. Though the screen is bigger but it’s not sharper. Rest the performance of the phone with respect to battery life and memory capacity, this is a marvelous phone.
