Features and Specifications

This is a quite newly launched smart tablet having 3G capability along with power and rich specifications. The OS in this tablet is Android v4.4 KitKat for the use of the latest games and Android based apps. The processor it has is dual core 1.2GHz for better performance. RAM is 512MB which may not be enough support for the processor. The screen is TFT capacitive touch screen of size 7-inch. This device supports dual SIMs. The resolution of the screen is 600x1024p. The primary camera towards the rear side is 2MP along with LED light. The front camera is 0.3MP which is used for the video calling and selfies. It has built-in 4GB storage capacity which can be expanded further up to 32GB. The weight of the device is 340g. It has numerous connectivity options like microUSB, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth along with Accelerometer. The battery is 2800mAh Li-po which is non-removable providing long term talk and stand by time to the device.

Design and Quality

The design of Zync Z777 is quite decent and it looks good in hand. It doesn’t feel heavy while holding. The 7-inch large screen suits the device very well and the performance of the screen is also very decent. It has good viewing angles. The back covering of the device has somewhat glossy feelings and it is made up of plastic of not very good quality. The build of the device feels little cheap. The button and the navigations keys are rightly placed and are quite responsive. The speakers of the device are working very nice and the sound produced is quite loud. The back of the device has been divided into two sections, the top section has the 2MP camera while the bottom section is removable under which the battery and the SIMs slots are hidden. Overall the design is decent if not very good.

OS and Tech

OS here is Android v4.4 KitKat which is quite a recent OS and this works smoothly providing nice multitasking. The support from the processor is decent enough but the RAM is quite less for a 7-inch tablet and this may affect the performance of the device to some extent.

Camera and Multimedia

The 2MP camera is quite low capacity for high quality images but since the tablet are largely not meant for the photography so if the images are presentable even that is acceptable. The images produced by the rear camera are not at all good, though they are presentable but they lack description and are grainy. The night time performance of the camera becomes too bad but this can be ignored. The front camera is working nicely for the selfies and the video conferencing.

Battery and Memory

2800mAh battery is decent here but since this is tablet, this would feel little less for a tablet of having 7 inch screen. This tablet also has the calling capacity so keeping in view this aspect also, the battery may not be enough for taking the tablet working for longer hours. The memory is 4GB which comes built-in and this is also less but the expansion of 32GB is decent but the RAM is too less. 512MB is even not enough for smartphones so keeping this much RAM for tablet is not justified.

Verdict

Zync Z777 is a good device having quite decent specification and a decent performance. Though it has little drawbacks but that can be ignored looking at the price at which this device has been offered. But for the people who are performance conscious so for them other better options are also available in market like Micromax Funbook and HCL ME U1 for little more price.
