HP Stream 7 32GB
HP Stream 7 32GB Tablet Price in India
HP is struggling really hard to bring good casing for the Windows devices. This time it has launched the Stream 7 which is a mini version of Stream 11. This is affordable device though at the price range for which this has been offered so it doesn’t make it the first device in this range. Other notable device at the same price range is Toshiba Encore Mini but it has quite a lot of issues especially the screen was not very usable but the Stream 7 is totally different. Since this is affordable so one cannot expect to have an extraordinary device and the same goes to this one as well but it is better than Toshiba Encore mini.
Features and Specifications
It has 7-inch display with resolution of 1280x800p. The processor is 1.8GHz while the RAM is 1GB. The front camera in it is 0.3MP while the back one is 2MP without LED light. OS is Windows 8.1 while the internal storage is 32GB which cannot be expanded further. The connectivity options in it include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Miracast and microUSB. Battery is 3000mAh.
Design and Quality
The casing of HP Stream 7 is plastic which doesn’t give a sturdy feel to it and also provides perfect grip. The device even cannot handle a little pressure if applied on it both ends. The casing generates creaking sounds. The back of the device is little rough when touched thus giving nice grip. The right hand side carries the power button and the volume rocker while the top carries the 3.5mm headset jack along with microUSB port. The bottom of the device has a little slit for the single speaker. The sides of the device are slanted as thus the width is little more towards the back than the front. This is quite an interesting design which makes it different from other tablets. The phone back is filled with numerous logos like Intel logo, HP logo and front is with Windows logo.
OS and Tech
People are already aware of the Windows tablet experience. The Windows 8.1 OS on this device runs perfectly smooth and produces decent experience of tablet use. It gives quite fast multitasking experience thus making the perfect match for this tablet.
Camera and Multimedia
Including camera in tablet seems to be a requirement now even if the camera is not of good quality. This device is also equipped with two cameras at front and at rear. The rear camera lacks LED light and autofocus feature thus making it to believe that this is just a front facing sensor. The result of the rear camera is too bad and the quality of images is not at all inspiring. The same goes for the videos. Since it lacks the LED light so the photography experience under low light is a total failure. The videos produced by it are also blurred and very noisy. So the cameras of this device are not at all worth mentioning. The front camera also suffers from performance issues.
Battery and Memory
The battery provide din it also a matter of concern as it has lower battery life than what has been provided to Galaxy Note 4 as well as Nexus 6. But since the battery life not entirely depends on the capacity of the battery rather other factors also play role like the processor, RAM and the screen brightness. The battery can last for about 5hrs under moderate use which is less than majority of its competitors like Samsung Galaxy Tab S, Asus Transformer Book T100 and Apple iPad Mini with Retina Display. RAM here is 1GB which could result in performance laps while the internal storage is 32GB which is a good thing about this tablet.

Verdict
Normally device at this price for which this device has been offered are not much impressive but this one is unique. Though it has some issues both in software and hardware but still it attracts attention of the users with its design and good features. This is a good addition to the market which is dominated by Samsung Galaxy tab and Apple iPad.
