Dell Venue 7 3741 Tablet Price in India
Dell is renowned worldwide for their brilliant line of personal computers, desktops, laptops and accessories making it the third largest manufacturer of PC goods. Recently Dell has entered the tablet market, and just like the laptops range, dell tablets are available for all sorts of price ranges. The Dell Venue 7 is an example of an entry level device from the manufacturer and by the looks of it the phone does seem of premium quality. The Dell Venue comes loaded with a 7inch screen and a 1.6 GHz dual core processor.
Features and Specifications:
The Dell Venue 7 comes with a 7inch IPS capacitive touch screen. The screen resolution is 800x1280 pixels and the pixel density 216 pixels per inch and the screen does support multiple touch input. The tablet is powered by 1.6 GHz dual core processor, though it isn’t the best processor available in the market but it still seems to do the job just fine. The device has a rather impressive RAM at 2GB which does compensates for the lack of processor power and ROM of the tablet is 16 GB. The memory of the tab can further be increased by up to 32 GB with the aid of the micro card slot. The camera department is a bit disappointing, with the primary camera at just 3.2 MP and the secondary is just a VGA camera. It does come with SIM card slots and the slot can support a 3G enabled sim card. The device is loaded with Bluetooth 4.0, WIFI, micro USB connectivity and GPS.
Design and Quality:
The Dell Venue 7 has very a glossy front and matte finished rubberized backside, both which are a fingerprint magnet. At 9.6mm it certainly isn’t the thinnest device in the market and the whole body is covered in plastic giving it very cheap feeling, which this device definitely is. The micro SD card slot and sim card slot is located on the left side of the device whereas the volume rocker button is located on the opposite side of that. The power button and the 3.5 mm audio are housed on the top side of the device and micro USB port is at the bottom side of the tablet. Upfront you have the 7inch screen which covers 64.2% of the total body of the device, the android style navigation buttons are embedded in the touch screen and above the screen we have the VGA camera sensor bang in the middle. On the backside we have the 3.15 MP primary camera in the middle of the tablet and the Dell branding below it so there is nothing revolutionizing about the back side of the device.
OS and Tech:
The tablet comes powered with Android 4.4.2 Jellybean and it is pretty much a stock layout. Dell hasn’t been very busy customizing the UI. Even though Jellybean is much out dated and compared to KitKat and lollipop it does consume more memory, the device is still pretty snappy. Online browsing is also a very pleasant experience with not much lag in movements and the screen does give good feedback.
Camera and Multimedia:
The Dell Venue 7 is probably not the best device for taking pictures and shooting videos as the primary camera of the device is a 3.2 MP camera without a flash and secondary camera is a VGA camera. The camera layout is also stock android and there is quite a bit a lag and picture quality is not what you call outstanding. The tablet on the other hand comes loaded with a 7 inch HD screen which is among the best displays in the price range, there is a bit of pixilation of icons but it can be forgiven. Apart from this the video viewing experience is pretty good for a 7inch display.
Battery and Memory:
The Venue 7 has non removable 4100 mAh battery which is better than some other devices in the market such as the iBall Slide. The battery will be more than enough to last you well over a day normal usage. The device comes with one of the best RAMS in the price range at 2 GB and ROM is also good at 16 GB. The Micro SD card slot can hold a card of up to 32 GB giving you ample space for all your data, apps and multimedia.
Pros and Cons:
For Pros:
· Good display
· Good battery timing
· Big RAM and ROM
For Cons:
· Underperforming camera
· Body attracts fingerprints
Verdict:
Costing more or less same as the Lenovo A7 tablet, the Dell Venue 7 offers much better features like 3G supports, HD display and a better battery life. So therefore, if you are looking for a better value for your money, Dell Venue 7 is definitely a yes from us.
