HCL ME U3 Tablet Price in India
The recently launched new device from HCL is ME U3 which is a budget tablet. This is available in Indian markets at a very affordable price. The specifications of the device are also very decent having 7-inch large screen and particularly dual-core processor. The company has been very successful in its ME series tablets particularly in Indian markets and the company is well known in India. It is also well known for the laptops and its manufactures are very famous among Indian users. The specifications provided to this tablet might come at a high cost about a year ago, but since the technology is getting advanced so it has also reduced the development cost and as a result the purchase cost has also gone reduced.
Features and Specifications
The weight if this tablet is 312g, and is available in silver color. The screen size is 7-inch with made out of TFT touchscreen technology having 16M colors while the resolution of the screen is 480x800p. The rear camera which is the primary camera in this tab is 2MP but there is no flash light provided with it. The secondary camera is also provided which is VGA 0.3MP and used for the selfies. The OS in this tablet is Android v4.1 of Jelly Beans while the processor here is 1GHz Dual-core. RAM is limited to 512MB while the internal built-in storage is 4GB which is expanded further using microSD card. The battery of the tab is 3100mAh Li-io and handsome connectivity features are available in it like Wi-Fi, microUSB and Bluetooth.
Design and Quality
The screen of the tablet is 7-inch having WVGA resolution but this should be disappointing as most of the smartphone having 3.5-inch screen even have the WVGA resolution. So the tablet is having very poor pixel density thus the videos and games might not be that entertaining while running on this tab. Having little powerful GPU means that this device will be able to handle smartly anything that will be played on it. The design of the tab is nice and elongated in shape. The back of the tab is silver in color while the front is all black. The front is all glass covering till the edges of the screen. There is ample space at the sides of the screen for the thumbs to give hold to the tablet. The top of the screen has the front facing camera while the bottom has the three navigation keys towards the left corner. The back cover is made up of plastic and gives nice grip while the back design is also very attractive. It has the rear camera towards top of the back while the speakers at the bottom. The back is little curved and the corners are also beautifully curved.
OS and Tech
The OS is Android v4.1 Jelly Beans which is almost available in all budget tablets. The OS is nice enough to perform its tasks but the related support from the RAM is too low since the RAM is very limited in this case. So at times the heavy graphics may get stuck while running.
Camera and Multimedia
Normally buyers don’t give any importance to the camera feature in tablets. This is due to the fact that tabs don’t come with good quality cameras and this probably due to the reason that tablets are not comfortable for the cameras. Even then the ME U3 has the 2MP rear camera and the 0.3MP front camera. But there should not be expected much from these cameras as their performance is as usual not very best. One would prefer to use smartphone camera rather than tablet camera. The front VGA camera is a nice addition as it would work decent for the video calls and selfies. Videos can also be recorded by the rear camera but they also lack the quality.
Battery and Memory
The 3100mAh battery must perform well in this tablet. This provides 4hrs of tablet performance which is typically decent enough for budget tablet. Recharging it would take longer time though. The RAM should have been increased as 512MB RAM for a 7-inch screen may not work efficiently. The internal storage is also limited but the expansion is a nice option.
Pros and Cons
For pros:
· Expandable memory
· Latest version of Android Jelly Beans
· Decent options for connectivity

· Very much affordable
For Cons:

Verdict
This latest release from HCL though carries some of the quite decent features like expandable memory, good connectivity features, and latest Android Jelly Beans. This can give tough competition to some of the tablets already present in market like Swipe Halo Speed and iBall Slide 7334i. This is a good option for those who mostly rely on smartphones.
