Mercury mTAB 7G
Mercury mTAB 7G Tablet Price in India
First let us look at the best feature of this tablet: Its price. Yes! We all expect tablet prices to be somewhere around 10 to 17k. At least the decent ones do. The price of this tablet is ridiculously low and it is definitely worth a few moments to take a look at what it has to offer. The price is so low that even individuals not interested in buying a tab might consider it since it comes at such a throw away price.
Features & Specifications: The Mercury mTAB 7G comes with a 7 inch screen and a 2 megapixel camera. The tablet is 10.8mm thick and weighs about 300gms. It has 2G/3G connectivity It supports SIM calling, Adobe Flash 11.1 and Wi-Fi IEEE (802.11 b/g/n). The battery is 2400mAh and OS version is Ice Cream Sandwich. The device also supports viewing documents.
Design and Quality: At first glance the tablet reminded us of the Samsung Galaxy Tablet. May be it is because of the curved edges and the 7 inch screen. We aren’t too sure. The device is fine to look at and no complaints there. The screen resolution is at 800 x 480 pixels. The screen type is TFT Capacitive Touch Panel. The tab weighs approximately 300 grams and dimensions are 190 x 115 x 10.8 mm. The device is available only in Black.
OS and Tech: The tablet comes with the Ice cream sandwich OS which frankly is quite old. If you are not too much into having the latest in the field of technology and electronics, this should not be a deal breaker. The tablet packs a Cortex A8 processor which runs at 1.2GHz. The processor is decent and processing speed is good too. Unfortunately it does not come with a Graphics Processing Unit. This might be a deal breaker for anyone who wants to play Graphic heavy games on their big screen tablet.
Camera and Multimedia: The tablet is fit with a 2 megapixels primary camera which is disappointing and the pictures are not up to the mark. The resolution offered by the camera is 1600 x 1200. The secondary camera is just 0.3 megapixels and is not great for video calls and selfies could be a distant dream. The audio connector is the one with a 3.5mm jack. The video formats supported are 3GP and MP4.
Battery and Memory: The device is powered by a 2400mAh battery which is very low for a tablet with a 7 inch screen. Chances are you’ll constantly be running towards the charging point. A 2400mAh battery is generally more suited for a mid size smart phone.
The Mercury mTAB 7G comes with a 4GB internal memory which is quite low as compared to a lot of other tablets. The external memory is expandable up to 32GB. The memory card slot is of micro SD type. The RAM is quite low at 512MB DDR3. Considering the features, multi tasking might be a problem with this device.
Pros and Cons:
Pros:
1. Available at a great price

Cons:
1. Low RAM
2. Camera is only 2 MP.
3. Battery is only 2400mAh.
