Swipe MTV Volt Tablet Price List in India

Swipe has been known to make high quality tablets for a long time now. Their tablets fairly do deliver what they promise to deliver. Their products are very reasonably priced and they are very decently equipped.  They are among the few to give dual sim budget tablets that offer 3G connectivity on both Sims. Recently Swipe has tried in collaborating with MTV and has put on their logo on some of its devices. The Swipe MTV Volt is one example of this collaboration. The MTV Volt is an entry level tablet from Swipe, but rather it’s a Phablet as it gives the best of both worlds it’s a tablet and a smartphone.

Features and Specifications:

The Swipe MTV Volt is loaded with a 6 inch capacitive touch and the screen resolution is 854x480 pixels and it allows HD video playback. The device is powered by a 2.0 GHz Dual Core processor and has 512 MB ram and has 4 GB rom. The micro SD card slot can house a card of up to 32 GB, giving you ample space for your apps and data. The Swipe MTV Volt has dual sim capabilities and joy of joys, both sim slots can support 3G enabled sim cards. Further on the Volt is loaded with all the basic features you can expect from a midrange device and there is nothing groundbreaking about the specification, but a rather totalitarian approach has been taken in equipping this device. The device comes standard WIFI Bluetooth, micro USB port and GPS. The device is loaded with an 8 megapixels primary camera and 1.3 megapixel secondary camera.

Design and Quality:

The Phablet has a rather conventional smartphone look, and looks more like a smartphone than a tablet. The MTV volt upfront has a 6.0inch screen upfront and below the screen we have the android style navigation keys. Above the screen we the earpiece and the secondary camera. On the right side of device we have the power button and the volume rocker whereas on the top side of the device we have the 3.5mm audio jack and on the bottom side we have the micro USB port. The sides have a chrome finish and give the phone a very neat look. The backside of the device has a very nice removable textured cover. Also on the backside we have the 8 MP primary camera along with dual LED flash light, the VOLT logo at the bottom and right below the logo we have the loudspeaker slits. The Swipe MTV Volt also comes with a removable flip cover which will protect the screen from scratches when you put the device in your pocket or on a table top.

OS and Tech:

The Swipe MTV Bolt comes loaded with the Android JellyBean, which is now pretty much obsolete and there is no news on the upgrade to the later versions of android. The UI is fairly stock and go launcher is preinstalled here. There are a couple of apps and games that come as box standard just to make your first hands on experience a bit more special.

Camera and Multimedia:

The Swipe MTV Bolt has an 8 megapixels primary camera with dual LED flash and upfront we have a 1.3 megapixels secondary camera. This device can record HDM video and other camera features includes, night vision, multi shot and geo tagging. The screen of the device is also pretty decent and gives a very clear picture even in bright sunlight and has nice viewing angles. The loudspeaker although is not as loud as it could have been.

Battery and Memory:

The Phablet is powered by a massive 3200 mAh battery which like all tablets is more than enough to last you well over a day of average use with an hour 3G talk time included. The memory department of this device is a bit weak and the internal memory is just 4 GB but the micro SD card slot does come to rescue and offers up to 32 GB of storage space.

Verdict:

All in the entire Swipe MTV Volt is a pretty neat device. It is pretty affordable and it is decently equipped. Compared to HP slate 6 Voice Tab 2, the MTV Volt is pretty much offers the same specifications but at almost half the price. So if you don’t mind a device from an underrated brand then the Swipe MTV Volt is definitely your choice.
