Xiaomi confirmed the launch of Redmi Note 4 on 19th January in India

Finally the much awaited Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 will be launched in India on 19th January as announced by the company. The launch teaser of the phone was out since a long time and was expected to be launch on 19th January, but confirmed by the company recently. The phone will be available for sale only via Indian e-commerce giant Flipkart, also taking part in teaser for the phone. The confirmation about the launch of the phone was confirmed by Mi India head, Manu Kumar Jain.

Features of the phone

• It is powered the superior 2.1GHz Deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 SoC processor with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Although the company may also launch Qualcomm SoC processor variant as well in India.

• It sports a full HD display screen of 5.5 inch with 2.5D curved glass display and has a screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels.

• It comes packed with rear camera of 13-megapixel with PDAF, dual LED flash & f/2.0 aperture and has a front camera of 5-megapixel. The front camera also has 85-degree wide angle lens.

• The Xiaomi phone has memory and storage in two variants – 2GB RAM/16GB ROM and 3GB RAM/64GB ROM. Further, it can be expanded by up to 128GB in microSD card.

Connectivity and other features

The phone supports great connectivity with dual SIM configuration. Apart from that it is compatible with Wi-Fi, supports 4G VoLTE connection allowing blazing fast internet connection, supports bluetooth for instant data transfer, supports GPS/GLONASS and micro-USB. It has a battery support of 4100mAh capacity. On the rear side of the phone, it has an integrated fingerprint scanner and also includes an infrared sensor.

Conclusion

The phone will be launched in India on 19th January as confirmed by MI India head with Flipkart as its official selling partner. The exact details and price of the phone is yet to be revealed. The phone was first launch in its home country China in August last year. Two variants 2GB RAM/16GB ROM was launched at CNY 899 (around Rs 9,000) and 3GB RAM/64GB ROM launched at CNY 1,199 (around Rs 12,000). It is expected to be launch in India at similar price. In China, it was launched in Gold, silver and grey colour.
